Thanks to all of you who participated in my weekend promotion of Missi’s Dating Adventure (Second edition).
An update is available for those who bought the first edition of the book by: Log on to your Amazon account. Click on Manage my devices. Select Settings and then automatic book update. You’ll then be kept updated on all your Amazon book orders. 🙂
This is good to know. I should see if any of the books I have waiting on my Kindle have had updates since I’ve purchased them. Thanks for the info.

I went and looked, and my automatic updates were already on. I didn’t even realize it was an option, so thanks again.

Let me know if the new version of Missi’s Dating Adventures has been automatically updated on your kindle. The new version will have, after the cover and title pages, a 2015 copyright and the table of contents will have sub-texts under the titles of chapters. Some people have had problems but with Amazon.ca. Thanks. 🙂

Hmm, I just pulled it up, but it doesn’t look like I have the latest version. But my kindle settings say I have the update tab on. I’ll try to look into it more later and figure it out. 🙂

Your kindle’s update function might not be working. The easiest thing to do is to call Amazon and have them fix it.

Okay, thanks, Carol. I went into settings to see if there was anything else I had to do, but I can’t find anything.

Thank you for the nomination but I will decline right now…I don’t normally accept awards.
Still, congratulations! 🙂

Great that you posted this Carol. I know I absent-mindedly thought I had to redownload, but I already had this option on, so I’ll be ready to read your updated version. I’m sure many others will find this post useful. 🙂

Let me know if you automatically get the updated version. I spoke to Amazon about this and they told me that it should work.

Hi Carol. I have my update setting enabled. Since I haven’t read the book yet, I’m not sure what has changed. When I open the book, it doesn’t tell me anything has changed. The copyright is still 2013, but I don’t see anything that says ‘revised edition’, not sure if I should? Where should it tell us if changes have been made, other than just saying that we have ‘enabled’ updates?

The author copyright of the second edition is 2015. This appears after the cover and book title pages.
The new version should automatically update when your update setting is enabled.
When you have a chance you might try calling Amazon to let them know that your update function doesn’t seem to be working.
Good luck! 🙂

Thanks for this Carol. Just as I suspected, the copyright edition would be changed. I will find some time to deal with Amazon. 🙂

Let me know if your automatic update works. You might have to call Amazon to let them know that your auto update isn’t working and they’ll set it for you. 🙂

Great information to have—I had no idea this was an option! Yes, I’m tech-challenged. 🙂

Just make sure that the update function is turned on and is working. This way new editions will be automatically uploaded to your reader. If you’re having problems just call Amazon and they’ll fix it for you 🙂

I didn’t realize there was even an update option available! Thanks, Carol 🙂

Christy, check to see if your automatic update button is turned on (see my post for how to do that). If it is you should be getting automatic updates of the books that you bought from Amazon. If not, you might need to turn off the automatic update and turn it back on. If it doesn’t work then I’m afraid you’ll have to call Amazon and tell them that this function of theirs is not working. Good luck. 🙂

You might have to call Amazon to have them update the books for you. It’s not a big deal. They answer quickly and are very efficient.

I think I will go the calling way. Even after updating the settings nothing has happened. Good guidance though.

I know…it’s really annoying. I wrote Amazon about that and they just told me to call. However, when you call, they’re really good at updating the book for you. Thanks. 🙂
