I am still in denial about summer’s ending… temperatures make me feel like we are still in summer snd my upcoming trip to one if Vancouver’s Islands promises to prolong my summer.
My plants will remain outside unless freezing temperatures are announced… at the same time Icam looking forward to the colours of fall.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I too was sad about summer ending.
The administration asked us to make room on our balconies as they will be washing our windows and so I took the opportunity to transplant some plants and brought them inside. I still have geraniums, basil and lavender outside.
Enjoy the Autumn Equinox. The past few evenings I’ve been wishing upon the full moon out of my window.
I’ve always loved autumn. Many people think of the new year (January) as a time to reflect and chart growth and make plans. But for me, autumn is a time of renewal. The Jewish High Holidays – the season of the new year and renewal are in the autumn. And school years start then, too (I’m in academia). I guess that’s just the way I think…
I’m still clinging to summer, but it won’t be long before we bring our perennials indoors. Your window is perfect for the plants, Carol. The light is gorgeous!
Ha! Send them my way, I can babysit them all winter with our irrigation system. It’s sunny and 89 degrees out today in Florida. Better yet, come get a tan yourself. You could probably use some sunshine by February. ๐
I hate to see summer go, but it has been so awful this year, it’s almost a relief to see fall arrive. I usually find autumn a very sad time of year, with my garden and most plants dying or going into hibernation soon, but I’m tired of heat and drought, so I’m looking for the best that autumn has to offer.
Carol, I love your positive take on Autumn and you’ve reminded me not to rue the darker colder days but to find the abundance within them! Your indoor plants are flourishing and definitely nature indoors! Here blessed with a few summery warm days and making the most of them! Have a lovely rest of the week, my friend! xx
Thank you, Annika. I’m sure we’ll still be blessed here as well with a few more summer like days. We still haven’t had Indian Summer (the term might no longer be politically correct). Enjoy the remainder of your week. xx
Thank you for sharing!!.. preparing for change here also, but never say goodbye because goodbye sounds too much like forever… ๐
Until we meet again…
May flowers always line your path
and sunshine light your way,
May songbirds serenade your
every step along the way,
May a rainbow run beside you
in a sky thatโs always blue,
And may happiness fill your heart
each day your whole life through.

I also love autumn. What I don’t like about it is that it precedes winter. Thanks, Margot for your comment. I appreciate it. Happy Jewish Holidays.
