Sheila Heti and Margaret Atwood

Margaret Atwood loves comic books.

This is how Drawn and Quarterly, a small independent book storewho specialize in comic books convinced one of the most celebrated authors in the world to talk at The Rialto Theatre in Montreal.

That Sheila Heti was interviewing Ms Atwood made the event even more tantalizing. Not only was Sheila Heti’s  book The Chairs Are Where The People Go  named one of the best books of 2011 by The New Yorker but  Time called How Should a Person Be? among the most talked-about books of 2012.

Any writer interested in voice (and you should be) ought to read Sheila Heti for her fresh voice. (Isn’t that what agents always say they’re looking for?)  Definitely a writer to be discovered, if you haven’t already.
